APLF Support for Vietnam Supply Chain & Logistics Association (VSLA) on 16th July 2016 in Ho Chi Minh

This conference was a success held in Nong Lam University (Ho Chi Minh) and more than 80 participants who had joined in the conference.

The speakers include: Mr David Rogers (Chairman of APLF), Mr Roger Lee, (Vice Chair, APLF) and Mr Junus Kartara (SIMM, Adjunct lecturer). The theme of the conference was: The growth and potential of Logistics and Supply Chain in the Asia Pacific region. Mr David Rogers spoke on the topic of TPP and the growth of ASEAN impacting upon Vietnam.
Mr Roger Lee spoke on the disruptive technology in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Mr Junus Kartara spoke about the Six Sigma methodology.

3.

The participants report a high satisfaction index for the conference, and Nong Lam University is contemplating joining the APLF network, and Nong Lam University intend to run logistics programs for their students and staff.

The APLF members thank Prof Nguyen Van Ngai (Dean) and Prof Dang Nguyen (Dy Dean), Economics Faculty from Nong Lam University, for their warm hospitality at the conference.

The APLF members would like to further thank Dr Ho Phuong (Advisor, VSLA) who helped co-ordinate the conference.
