About CFLP
China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP), the first social organization of logistics industry in China, was established in Beijing and approved by the State Council. CFLP comes from the China Society of Materials Economy established in 1980, the China Logistics Research Institute established in 1984, the China Association of Materials Circulation established in 1995, and the name now in Beijing in April 2001. The main missions of CFLP are to push the development of logistics industry in China, to boost the development of procurement business of the government and enterprises, to assume the tasks commissioned by government. The government authorizes CFLP some functions of the foreign affairs, science and technology, trade statistics and standards drafting & revising, etc. As Chinese representatives of the Asian-Pacific Logistics Federation (APLF) and the International Federation of Purchasing and Materials Management (IFPMM), CLFP is playing active role and wildly cooperating with counterparts in many countries.
CFLP should insist the basic aim: Serving for Enterprise, for Industry and for Government. Playing the role of bridge and expending the foreign cooperation, we should devote to promote the development of China's logistics & purchasing undertaking.
According to the Constitution of CFLP, the main functions of CFLP are as follows:
To report the proper desire and the reasonable demands of enterprises to government in order to protect legal rights and interests of enterprises;
To organize and deliver industry investigation and statistics in order to put forward the development plan, industry policy and economic legislation;
To carry out market investigation, analyze market trend and offer information and consultation;
To organize the experience exchanges and reward outstanding organizations and individuals;
To organize industry theory research and host all types of academic symposiums;
To participate in the drafting and modifying the national standards and the industry standards on the commodity circulation and the logistics;
To promote logistics education and train professions;
To provide the law consultation services;
To accelerate foreign communication and cooperation;
To organize exhibitions and trade activities as well as industry scientific information;
To launch the public welfare of the industry undertaking;
To publish and distribute the journal of CFLP, yearbook, relevant materials and publications;
To undertake other assignments given by relevant government departments.
Now CFLP take role of vice chairman of APLF.
