Message from Vice Chairman
GLOBALISATION AND BUILDING TALENTS IN LOGISTICS
The Singapore Institute of Materials Management (SIMM) was incorporated in 1980 as a non-profit and self-supporting independent educational and professional institution.
As Vice Chairman, I hope that APLF will continue and grow to establish and to maintain a high standard of knowledge and excellence in the field of Logistics management.
Furthermore, with the member countries contribution, APLF will continue to promote and foster the study, research and development on Logistics and Materials Management on all aspects from Purchasing and Supply Chain Management to applying latest E-commerce technology and practices to the field of Logistics and Purchasing. I hope that SIMM is able to contribute to the area of training expertise to benefit all members’ countries.
APLF will further contribute to actively providing practical training through workshops, in-house programs and seminars to upgrade professional knowledge and experience of members and corporate companies staff.
The globalization process will shape APLF and redefine the rules of business and national competitiveness. We hope that we can jointly inculcate a global mindset for all our members so that they appreciate better the forces that drive and shape our increasingly interconnected logistics world.
APLF will jointly work together in the global networks and prepare competent managers, attracting the next generation of companies and contributing to the local community and industry and building talents in logistics management.
Let me take this opportunity to thank Chairman, Mr Suh Byong-Yoon in leading the various members in APLF
