Message from Vice Chairman
"Facing the New Activities of the Asia-Pacific Logistics Federation (APLF)"
The global economy is changing with the spectacular economic growth of Asian nations, and the borderless trend appears to be progressing steadily.
Additionally, the construction of a global logistics network has deepened international exchanges with the West, promoting a possible further strengthening of our tripartite cooperation.
Under this backdrop, the Asia-Pacific Logistics Federation (APLF), which was founded in 1995, is comprised of logistics organizations in the Asia-Pacific region and promotes advancements in logistics by holding biannual general meetings, supporting APLF international conferences, providing mutual cooperations in human development educational activities, and fostering increased exchanges among members, such as informational exchanges regarding logistics issues in each country.
Now, there are many issues to tackle as the APLF faces the realization of global-scale supply chain management (SCM), including the communalization of Asia, the promotion of standardization, trainings of logistics specialists, and reductions of global environmental burdens.
I am looking forward to linking up the APLF's new activities with the logistics developments and beneficial activities for each member nation.
